I'm taking a break from blogging in order to refill my spiritual and creative tanks.
It's important to me to return to more analog endeavors. Over the past few months I've purposely put the phone aside and have managed to cut my screen time down to under 10 mins. each day. That can be improved on, I know it. The time spent on my computer is decreasing as well and I'm much more conscientious about quality versus mindless, brain dead scrolling from one thing to the next.
We live in a world that demands more and more of our time, then we wonder why we suffer from mental exhaustion. Keeping up with trends is exhausting.
Peeking into the lives of others.
Chasing the next trend.
Fear of missing out.
It's sucking the life out of adults and worse, our children and teens.
As someone who grew up without the internet, streaming and a phone attached to her hip I can say with absolute certainty...
You can do without all that added noise in your life.
This is also coming from someone who loves tech and the digital age and the advancements it's brought to lives. But just like everything else in this world it needs to be in moderation.
The weather has been amazing these last few days so I'm off to enjoy it.
I have a garden to plan for 2027.
There are watercolors begging to be used and several crafting projects I've pushed aside .. again.
Grace & peace,
B
